A Lakewood man suspected of sexually abusing a nine-year-old girl in the township awaits a psychological exam and sentencing in exchange for his guilty plea.

Agustin Salvidar-Delvalle, 27, accepted a guilty plea to a first-degree count of aggravated sexual assault in Ocean County Superior Court in Toms River, according to the office of County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato.

Salvidar-Delvalle was arrested February 16, following an investigation into allegations that he had molested the youngster in the township from August to December 2015.

County Senior Assistant Prosecutor Terry Ann Linardakis is asking for a 15-year sentence with full parole ineligibility, registration as a sex offender with lifetime supervision under Megan's Law, and no further contact with the victim under terms of Nicole's Law.

The investigation was led by Detective Stephanie Bayha of the Ocean County Prosecutor's Special Victims Unit, county Sheriff's CSI Detective Michael O'Hearn, and Lakewood PD Detective Nate Reyes.
