Lakewood Officials and Tent City Residents to Meet with Judge Friday

Lakewood Township officials, Tent City residents and homeless advocates are reportedly scheduled to appear before a judge this Friday according to the Lakewood Scoop.

The meeting follows growing tensions from area residents, harassment allegations by Tent City residents and code violations issued by the Township to the homeless encampment off Cedar Bridge Avenue. A Judge ordered all sides to work with a mediator to come to a humane resolution following motions filed by both sides well over a year ago.

On WOBM's Open Forum Program in January,  Lakewood Officials promised more action to resolve the Tent City standoff.
