Lakewood man who ran a red light causes car to overturn

A Lakewood man who flew through a red light in a 2004 Honda Odyssey ends up striking a 2013 Toyota Camry causing it to overturn, rollover and hit a crosswalk signal pole Monday night near Williams Street and Prospect Street around 8:40 pm.

The Odyssey driver was heading east on Williams Street near the intersection when he disregarded the red light signal and allegedly caused the accident.

Lakewood Police Captain Greg Staffordsmith told WOBM News that nobody was hurt but the 40-year old driver who caused the accident was given a motor vehicle summons for careless driving.
