Lakewood Man Nabbed In Home Depot Robbery

A Lakewood man is arrested for shoplifting $119 of electric breakers from the Home Depot in Toms River Friday.

Chief Mike Mastronardy says Anthony Kanaris, 24,  was chased through the garden center of Home Depot by a loss prevention officer and tried to escape over a fence.

Kanaris allegedly got physical with the officer before being arrested.

He is being charged with 2nd degree robbery and held on $25,000 bail.
