Lakewood Hit-and-Run Cold Case Reheats

A hit-and-run in Lakewood that left a 17-year-old girl gravely injured a year ago this month returns to the front burner at the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.

No one has ever been charged in connection with the incident at East Kennedy Boulevard and Clifton Avenue, at about 7:23 PM. Investigators are asking for your help in identifying those responsible.

Investigators have few details except that they're in search of a white Jeep Liberty, model year 2005 - 2007. They believe that the Jeep's front passenger-side bumper and external mirror were damaged. Witnesses told investigators that the Jeep turned on to Lexington Avenue near the Crossroad-Pinewood apartments.
