Lacey Police Looking for Armed Robbery Suspect

Lacey police are searching for a suspect who allegedly tried robbing the Country Farms Convenience Store on Lacey Road Monday night with a knife.

Police said when an employee refused to give the man money, he fled on foot toward Briggs Avenue North, according to the Lacey Patch.

Police described the suspect as being a white male in his ate teens to early twenties, standing about 5-foot-8, with a stocky build and dark hair. He was last seen wearing a black and gray plaid or checkered sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and dark sneakers.

The Ocean County Sheriff's Department K9 unit and Criminalistics Investigation Unit are assisting in the investigation.
