Brandon was in the car with his mother Marilyn Timoney on September 23, 2015, on their way to meet friends at Gille Park in Lacey when she realized she was suffering an acute allergic reaction and pulled off the road near Mill Pond Elementary School in the Lanoka Harbor section of town, according to a news release from the police department.

Before losing consciousness, she was able to alert Brandon that something was wrong and to call 911.  Brandon calmly unbuckled himself from his booster seat, climbed into the passenger seat of the vehicle, found his mother's cell phone and dialed 911.

Brandon maintained his composure as police dispatchers tried to determine the location of their vehicle. Brandon is unable to read but was able to provide essential information about the surroundings, according to authorities.

Officers Noah Schaffer and Kymberly Gudgeon responded to the scene along with paramedics and Lanoka Harbor EMS. Brandon's mother was transported to Community Medical Center in Toms River where she made a full recovery.

Along with the Superhero Certificate, Brandon also was presented Monday with a special Lacey Township Police Department Challenge/Pride Coin. The special coin is generally reserved for members of the police department, but due to Brandon’s exceptional efforts, the Chief felt he was deserving of it.
