Over 750 vehicles passed through the checkpoint, leading to several people facing charges on everything from drunken driving, underage drinking, drug possession, outstanding warrants and immigration issues, according to the Ocean Signal.

Motorists were provided with informational brochures as part of the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office and Lacey Police Department efforts to raise awareness about the dangers of impaired driving.

Lacey Police Chief David Paprota thanks his department and assisting agencies for doing "an exceptional job before, during, and after the operation."
