Jury Selection Underway in Lakewood Cop Killer’s 2nd Murder Trial
A jury is being selected for a convicted Lakewood cop-killer's second murder trial.
According to the Lakewood Scoop, Jahmell Crockam is scheduled to be tried on June 4th for the murder of 20-year-old Justin Williams in October of 2010. Crockham is already serving a life term after being sentenced in March 2012 for the point-blank range shooting assassination of Lakewood Patrolman Christopher Matlosz on January 14, 2011.
Crockham and co-defendant Darius Johnson were indicted by an Ocean County Grand Jury in May 2011 on murder conspiracy and weapons counts. The County Prosecutor's Office says the trail could last 6 to 8 weeks.
