Joint Base to conduct live fire training

Don't panic if you hear loud booms or feel the ground shaking. Live artillery training takes place today through Sunday at the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, according to a message on its Facebook page.

Marines from the 3rd Battalion and 6th Engineer Support Battalion will be conducting live artillery and controlled demolitions during the day and night time hours.

The noise and shaking is expected to be greater for those living in or around the Joint Base and during overcast weather.
