Jogger Hit By Car In Middletown

An early morning jog takes a bad turn on Cherry Tree Farm Road in Middletown.

News 12 New Jersey reports a jogger was struck by a vehicle around 8 a.m. Sunday, while trying to cross the intersection of Cherry Tree Farm Rd. and Harmony Rd.

The jogger was flown to Jersey Shore University Medical Center with head and chest injuries. The injuries are non-life threatening.

Police are not releasing the name of the victim or the driver at this time.  The accident is still under investigation.
