Do you have any chocolates leftover from Valentine's Day? If so, you may be in luck, because today (Feb 25) is National Chocolate Covered Nut Day!

My guy gave me a nice box of milk chocolates (my favorite), and I've been working my way through the best ones using the diagram on the inside of the box lid. The funny thing is, after eating the ones I really like, I'm all set for chocolate covered nut day.

How about you? Are there any chocolate covered peanuts, almonds, pecans, walnuts, or cashews tempting you from the bottom of the box?

If there are none left, perhaps you can celebrate today with some Goobers, or peanut M&Ms.

Hey, did you know that the peanut M&M was first introduced in 1954? Originally, the only color they made was tan. It took six years, but in 1960 yellow, green, and red were added. Then in 1995 Mars ran a promotion that allowed consumers to vote on which color should replace tan. Do you remember which color won?  It was blue.

Do you have a favorite color M&M?  Are you a fan of chocolate covered nuts?  If so, enjoy your celebration today!
