Today (7/12) is National "Eat Your Jello Day"  a fun food favorite for generations!

Here are some interesting facts about Jello from foodreference.com

  • The residents of Salt Lake City consume more lime flavored gelatin than any other city in the U.S.
  • Fruits that float in Jell-O include fresh fruit such as bananas, citrus sections, sliced peaches, apples and fruit in light syrup.
  • Fruits that sink in Jell-O include seedless grapes and fruits in heavy syrup such as fruit cocktail, peaches, pears, etc.
  • In 1936 Jell-O introduced a cola flavored Jell-O. It was discontinued the following year.

As we heard in the morning coffee contest today the original Jell-O flavors were orange, lemon, strawberry and raspberry.

So maybe tonight you can cool off with your Family with some nice cool Jello for dessert.

Whats your favorite recipe and jello flavor ?
