“Jersey Shore” Helps Jersey Shore
Vinny Guadagnino of MTV's Jersey Shore appeared in an ad Thursday night to encourage fans of the show to donate to the American Red Cross' relief efforts on the real Jersey Shore
Standing outside MTV's Times Square studio, Vinny said, "Seaside Heights and much of New Jersey remain devastated in the wake of Hurricane Sandy."
"We are beyond saddened that so many families are now homeless," Guadagnino continued. "The boardwalk, the beaches, the rides and so many places that we see every week on TV are now ruined," he said in asking fans to text "Redcross" to 9099 to make a $10 donation.
Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, who tweeted it was "not easy" to change her son Enzo's siapers in the dark, asked her six million Twitter followers to donate to the Red Cross as well. She also promised to donate some of her clothing to those in need.
"Cleaning my closet today to donate clothes and whatever I can [t]o the victims affected by sandy!" Snooki tweetedtoday. "I'm comin with clothes!!!"
