JBMDL Brings The Noise This Weekend

Artillery training this weekend at Joint Base McGuire-Dix Lakehurst promises some shaking and rattling, if not actual rolling.

Officials at the base advise expecting occasional "ground-shaking" blasts while the Marines conduct drills, Friday through Sunday, 7 AM until 11 PM.

As always, they also advise that the noise will travel a greater distance if clouds are overhead. The current forecast calls for a snow-rain mix Friday, and variably cloudy skies the remainder of the weekend.

JBMDL officials reinforced their good-neighbor policy in trying to keep the uproar to a minimum.
