A Jackson Township 21-year-old accused of attacking a 19-year-old Plumsted woman faces charges of aggravated sexual assault and burglary.

Christopher Rios was apprehended and charged Thursday, according to information from the offices of Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph Coronato and Plumsted Police Chief Matthew Petrecca.

Investigators say that local police received a 911 call from the victim Tuesday, saying that Rios climbed into her house through a basement window, entered her bedroom and sexually attacked her while she slept.

There are no details from investigators regarding the burglary charge.

In Ocean County Superior Court in Toms River, Rios's bail was set at $250,000 with no option for release on payment of 10 percent. He's lodged in the Ocean County Jail.
