I’m a sucker for celebrity collaborations.  Inspired by Live Aid, that event in the 80s that I refer to as one of the greatest days of my life, I love seeing artists sharing their talent for a good cause.  The latest musical pairing has brought Jennifer Lopez together with “Hamilton” phenom, Lin-Manuel Miranda.  They sing on a song called “Love Make The World Go Round.”

It’s a song that Lopez has had for about 8 months but after the Orlando shootings she felt it would be appropriate to do as a tribute to those impacted by the violence.  Lopez and Miranda are donating all the proceeds to Proyecto Somos Orlando, providing mental health and other services to those affected by the Pulse nightclub tragedy.  The song can be purchased on iTunes here https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/love-make-world-go-round-single/id1131711886

Lopez believes the tune will also help by lifting spirits and getting people dancing again.  When you listen to the song you’ll hear a sample of Miranda’s “Love is love is love…” sonnet from the Tony Awards.  Lopez thought Miranda would be a perfect person to partner with on this number.  What do you think of the song?  Is it something you might download?
