Is It Too Early For Back To School Sales? [Poll]

Obviously we play commercials for a lot of different businesses promoting their stores, products, and sales here at the radio station. But there was one in particular that stuck out to me over a week ago - a commercial for a back to school sale.

In the middle of July.

Again, this was over a week ago, so it would have been the week of July 11th!

Most kids in Ocean County hadn't even been out of school for a month at that point, and back to school sales were already starting to be promoted.

It wasn't long after I first heard that spot that I started seeing back to school displays in-store.

Look, it's always good to be prepared in advance, but shouldn't we be giving kids an opportunity to enjoy their time off from school before reminding them that a new school year is quickly approaching?

Although we still have more summer ahead than we have behind us at this point!
