NBC has been airing a lot of promos for the miniseries called "The Slap."  It premieres tonight to what I think will be a large audience.  The story centers around a parent who slaps another parent's child who exhibited some very bad behavior.  Was it wrong for the strong man with admitted anger issues to hit the child?  Is slapping ever justified?  Do adults have the right to touch another family's child?  What if that youngster is causing physical harm to the other kid?  These and many other questions are likely to set the internet on fire during the course of this miniseries.  The reviews I've read say that "The Slap" will have people taking sides, and that people's own upbringing will likely color their reaction to the series.  I give NBC credit for pushing the envelope, covering an issue that will be difficult to watch, but should lead to some interesting, healthy conversations and debates.  Will you be watching "The Slap?"  Do you think it's OK to discipline another person's child?
