A collaborative effort among the Ocean County Prosecutors Office, Brick Township Police and the Lakewood Police Department place two Brick residents in custody upon a search of their home where investigators found a large amount of cocaine.

Police arrest Brick Township residents Gerardo Parada-Reyes and Veronica Anguiano- Hernandez. Reyes and Hernandez are suspected of selling and storing cocaine.

Police are investigating if Reyes and Hernandez were using Brick residence, 258 Birch Drive as a storage and selling unit. Detectives obtained a search warrant for 258 Birch Drive.

Upon the use of a search warrant investigators discovered nearly one-and-a-half kilos of cocaine (approximately three pounds), packing materials, drug paraphernalia which may indicate possible drug deals on items such as digital scales and $4,800 in cash.

Police also seized a 2007 Dodge Nitro pending the outcome of the investigation.

The cocaine investigators found has an approximate street value of $100,000.

Reyes and Hernandez are arrested and charged with possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine over five ounces with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bail is set at $250,000 with no ten percent option for both parties. They're being held in the Ocean County Jail.

The public is reminded that criminal charges are merely accusations and that these defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
