Two suspects believed to have pilfered cases of Red Bull out of Wawas on Route 37 in Toms River - twice in as many days this past weekend - are sought by township police.

Authorities estimate that the haul was valued at more than $800.

Police say they hit several stores fronting the highway between 4 and 5 PM on Saturday and Sunday, April 12 and 13.

A woman entered the shop and took up a position near the front entrance, suggesting to investigators that she served as a lookout.

She was followed by a man carrying a black nylon suitcase, clipboard and cell phone who headed straight for the refrigerated storage room, police said.

Both left within two or three minutes of arriving, police added, except that the male wheeled the now-drink-laden suitcase instead of carrying it.

Police believe that their mode of transportation is a dark, possibly black, older model Dodge pickup truck.

The male is described as having brown hair, slicked back to reveal a receding hairline, pulled into a pony-tail, with a thin, chinstrap-style beared that might be touched with flecks of gray.

the woman is described as having shoulder-length brown hair and a tattoo above her left breast.

Anyone who can help identify them or was in any of the shops at the time is urged to call Toms River Police Detective Bob O'Neill, 732-349-0150, extension 1255, or reach him via the Toms River PD Facebook page.
