You still have time to make a impact in reducing hunger in the shore area. Hunger Action Month continues through Sunday with several towns in Ocean and Monmouth counties participating. Aberdeen, Belmar, Brick, Eatontown, Manasquan, Spring Lake, Toms River, Freehold Township, Wall and Neptune are taking part and have placed collection bins at municipal buildings, put on a number of special events and have placed orange ribbons and bunting at municipal facilities.

Elementary school children statewide have been taking part in a 'Students Change Hunger Competition'.

The month is an initiative by the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties. This year's theme is "Speak Out Against Hunger".
