Howell mobile home park fire kills 1

A Howell man died in a mobile home fire on Friday night.

The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office says John C. Gordon, 56, died in the fire on Aster Lane in the Green Acres Manor mobile home park that started in the kitchen.An autposy is scheduled for Saturday.

The Asbury Park Press reports it took firefighters from several companies about a half-hour to put the blaze out.

The investigation into the cause of the fire continues.
