Howell Burglary Suspect No Longer One Step Ahead of Law

The man said to have outrun law enforcement after a home burglary last Saturday is now in custody.

Gerald Snyder was also wanted by several other law enforcement agencies, police said.

The most serious charge against Snyder is second-degree eluding, along with third-degree counts of burglary, theft, and criminal mischief, plus traffic violations.

According to police, Snyder was found a short distance from the vacant lot where a patrolman spotted his car early today.

Officer John Wooley, the K9 team of Officer Nick Bondarew and Jago, the Howell Police Midnight Squad and New Jersey State Police also had roles in the investigation.
