Have you ever wondered what the inside of a pinball machine looks like? Well there you go. A few months ago, I told you about the pinball machine that I've wanted for 20 years, and finally got. Well, I couldn't keep from tinkering and got arm deep in wires and light bulbs this past weekend.

There are a couple different kinds of hobbies - those that don't take a whole lot of work and that you can casually enjoy, and those where you're constantly poking around, changing things, and getting dirty.

This is definitely the latter kind.

Since I brought it home almost 3 months ago, I've changed a number of parts, replaced some of the rubber bumpers, and then, for my birthday, I got the goods for a major project.

I converted every single light bulb from an original incandescent bulb to a bright LED bulb.

And let me tell you, there are a whole lot of light bulbs inside of a pinball machine.

So did it make much of a difference? You be the judge, here are some before & after pictures:

So, like I said, this is definitely a hobby where you can really get your hands in, get dirty, and customize a lot. And to be honest, I love it.

So do you like hobbies where you can really get in and mess around? Tell us in the comments!
