The Hooper Avenue (County Route 549) repaving job in Brick Township that was to start tonight is pushed back 24 hours.

Originally scheduled tonight and tomorrow, 7PM through 6 AM, resurfacing of the stretch from Mantoloking Road to Drum Point Road begins Tuesday night, August 18, and continues Wednesday night, August 19, according to Brick Township Police.

The work is performed under the auspices of the Ocean County Road Department. A municipally-managed resurfacing of Burrsville Road from Jack Martin through Lanes Mill continues daily as scheduled through Thursday.

Ocean County’s Road Department plans a two-day repaving job on Hooper Avenue between Mantoloking Road-Cedar Bridge Avenue and Drum Point Road, Monday August 17 and Tuesday August 18. The work is planned for nighttimes, 7 PM until 6 AM.

Additionally, in Monmouth County, repaving of Neptune Boulevard in Neptune Township will cause intermittent closures on Tuesay, August 18.
