Holiday Events at Ocean County College [LIST]

HOLIDAY SEASON AT ARTS & COMMUNITY CENTER SPARKLES!

This December, the holidays will sparkle at Ocean County College’s Arts & Community Center located on the OCC Main Campus, College Drive, Toms River, NJ.  All performances will take place in the main theatre.

Yates Musical Theatre presents A Christmas Carol, a musical for children, on Saturday, December 1 at 1:00 p.m.  Tickets: $12, all seats.  This is the timeless tale of Scrooge – the miserly old man who hates Christmas.  Shocked into action by visits of three ghosts, Scrooge discovers the true meaning of Christmas.  This lively production includes music and dance.

Join the Ocean County College Concert Band when it presents A Children's Christmas on Saturday, December 1 at 8:00 p.m.  Tickets: $20 adult, $17 senior, $10 student.  Under the baton of Anthony Tafrow, the OCC Concert Band will present this wonderful holiday program!  Children of all ages will enjoy the sounds of Secret Agent Santa, A Charlie Brown Christmas, and the classic narration of The Night Before Christmas.  As an added bonus, the “Powerhouse Big Band” will perform holiday selections!

Ballet for Young Audiences presents The Nutcracker, a ballet for young people, on Sunday, December 9 at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m.  Tickets: $12, all seats.  A dream story is magically brought to life through music, dance, and beautiful costumes.  This magical journey begins with a Nutcracker doll and ends in the Land of Sweets.

Broadway Tonite will be presented on Saturday, December 15 at 2:00 p.m.  Tickets: $28 adult, $25 senior, $10 student.  Back after five years, Broadway Tonite is a fast-paced musical revue starring multi-talented singers and dancers from Broadway and national tours.  This show features beautiful costumes, exciting choreography, and a collection of some of Broadway’s greatest musical hits!
