Hole In Garden State Parkway To Slow Afternoon Commute
Garden State Parkway drivers should expect heavy delays as repairs to a hole in a bridge deck will block a lane in each direction in Monmouth & Ocean counties.
The hole opened up today on the Parkway in Brick at mile marker 90.5 near exit 91 in Brick according to the Turnpike Authority. The repair will block the right lane in both directions until at least expected to take until at least 6:00 p.m.
Heavy delays are expected through the area especially southbound and on surrounding roads as commuters find alternate ways around the construction.
There is also work on the Parkway in Toms River at the exit 83 off-ramp causing delays back to exit 82 for Route 37.
