More than half of New Jersey’s kids are not ready for college based on the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers test ~ David Hespe, New Jersey’s Commissioner of Education

 

The Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers test.... aka the "PARCC" tests have been a source of controversy for awhile now. Some favoring the tests while others not. In a recent PATCH article the list of the Top 100 best scoring school districts were released following the 3rd round of tests for students from 3rd to 8th grade.

Here's top scoring school districts in Ocean and Monmouth Counties:

  • SPRING LAKE MONMOUTH
  • LITTLE SILVER, MONMOUTH
  • SEA GIRT, MONMOUTH
  • MARLBORO, MONMOUTH
  • MONMOUTH BEACH, MONMOUTH
  • FAIR HAVEN, MONMOUTH
  • COLTS NECK, MONMOUTH
  • MANALAPAN-ENGLISHTOWN REG, MONMOUTH
  • ROOSEVELT, MONMOUTH
  • BAY HEAD, OCEAN

The Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) is a group of states working together to develop a set of assessments that measure whether students are on track to be successful in college and careers.
