High Schooler Charged in Willingboro Murder

A Willingboro High School senior is charged with murder in the death of a 21-year-old whose lifeless body was found Wednesday afternoon in that town's Fairmount Park.

Abdullah H. Sheriff, 19, was arrested today at the school in connection with the death of Abenego Wesseh, 21, according to information from the office of Burlington County Prosecutor Robert D. Bernardi.

Sheriff faces murder and weapons counts. Bail proceedings take place Friday.

Sheriff lives in Willingboro, while Wesseh had an address of record in Williamstown but frequented Willingboro, investigators said.

Findings of the autopsy on Wesseh placed the cause of death to be a gunshot wound to the head, and the manner of death to be homicide, authorities said.

Investigators believe that the shooting occurred in the park late Tuesday night. Wesseh's body was discovered at around 1:45 PM Wednesday.

Authorities said that the gun they recovered is believed to be the one that fired the fatal round. They're sill looking for a motive.
