Heroin, coke, guns seized in Lakewood raid
Four hundred hits of heroin, 15 grams of cocaine, 10 grams of marijuana, two handguns and about $1,500 cash add up to hefty charges for two Lakewood men and a juvenile.
Kevin Gadson, Jr., 25 was charged with drug and weapons counts in the aftermath of the Thursday night raid at a Stark Street house. Jamiel Padilla, 22, and the juvenile face drug charges.
According to police, the search and arrests culminated a two-month probe of drug activity suspected at the house in the Pine Acres development.
Gadson is charged with possession of heroin, possession of cocaine, possession of each with intent to distribute, unlawful possession of a weapon, certain persons not to possess a firearm, and possession of a weapon during a drug offense. With bail set at a full $150,000, Gadson was remanded to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River.
Padilla was released after being booked on a marijuana possession charge. The juvenile was charged with possession of heroin and possession with intent to distribute. Cases involving minors are normally moved to Family Court.
Charges are accusations. Defendants are presumed innocent unless, and until, found guilty in a court of law.
