Not that anyone is asking my opinion but if they did I would tell them...

It’s obvious the racial divide in this country is still significant but too many people try and make everything simply a black and white issue when often there are many other circumstances. Sometimes it’s a matter of good guy versus bad guy; let’s not forget that.

  • Christmas shopping is a lot easier when your youngest child is 23.
  • I think Ray Rice should be able to play football again but don’t expect any NFL team to sign him this season. He’ll have to wait.
  • I’ll stick with what I’ve been saying: Hillary Clinton will not run for President which will make it the most wide-open race for the White House we’ve ever seen.
  • I read the Asbury Park Press everyday and am baffled with the over-the-top coverage they give to Rutgers football.  Can’t imagine what it will be like if they are ever really good.
  • One thing that’s apparent with this new college football playoff system is that it would be much better with eight teams instead of four.
  • Who would ever imagine that the best team in New York sports would be the Islanders?  For those of you who don’t know they are a hockey team.
  • I could eat Jersey Mike’s Club Sub just about every day….of course you have to get it Mike’s Way.

HBO’s “The Newsroom” is 60 minutes of great television each week with terrific writing and dialogue and an outstanding cast led by Jeff Daniels and Sam Waterston.  Created by Aaron Sorkin there are only two episodes left as in its third season the show is coming to an end.  That’s too bad!

  • Sometimes in sports and business you have to change the messenger because it’s easier then changing all the players.  For that reason the Giants will part company with Tom Coughlin. I just hope both sides make it easy.
  • Central Regional football coach Willie Jacobs deserves consideration for Coach of the Year honors.  In just his second season he guided the Golden Eagles to an 8-3 record, division co-championship and first playoff win in 20 years.
  • At age 42 Jennifer Garner looks better than ever.
  • The 0-17 Philadelphia 76ers can tie the record for the worst start to a season in NBA history with a loss tonight in Minnesota.  Remember, you heard it here: the Sixers will win tonight.
