Here’s A Gift…Under One Condition…

Gift giving is a wonderful thing. One of the greatest things about the holiday season is watching someone open a gift that they're truly surprised by and excited about. But have you ever gotten a gift with conditions attached?

A friend of mine was telling me today about an early Christmas gift that he got. It's a very cool gift and I'm definitely a little jealous. But here's the funny part, he said that there was a condition attached to it. You know, "here's your gift...but you have to do something first..." And I don't mean something cute like complete a puzzle or go on a scavenger hunt. I mean he had to do a favor in order to get the gift (obviously I'm being a little vague in order to protect the identities of those involved).

So here's the question, have you ever gotten a gift with conditions attached? Or, for that matter, have you ever given one?
