What health services are important to you?  What programs do you count on?  Do you need preventative care and health education?  The Ocean County Health Department Advisory Group is depending on you for those valuable answers.  Its never been easier to get in touch with them, thanks to a very special online survey.

A community health assessment survey is being conducted from now until July 30th.  The information gathered from the nine questions can aid the group of several County stakeholders in better serving you.  Leslie Terjesen with the Ocean County Health Department says "several topics will be covered ranging from where you go for emergency care to what goes on in your community when a natural or man-made disaster develops."

The Ocean County Health Advisory Group, which is comprised of the Ocean County and Long Beach Island Health Departments, Community Medical Center, Kimball Medical Center, Ocean Medical Center and Southern Ocean Medical Center, the Center for Health, Education, Medicine and Dentistry (CHEMED) and Ocean Health Initiatives (OHI), are all collaborating together to conduct a Countywide Community Health Needs Assessment in 2012.  All of the material collected anonymously through the survey will go towards their final report.
