A 1999 Toyota Corolla and a 2010 Ford E-350 ambulance from Quality Medical Transport were involved in a head on crash Saturday night in Lakehurst. 

The impact of the collision caused the ambulance to leave the roadway and strike a traffic signal on the corner of the roadway, knocking the traffic signal and pole over.

The driver of the Toyota sustained minor injuries and was transported to Community Medical Center.

The driver and passenger of the ambulance did not complain of pain or injury on scene.

The NJ State Department of Transportation was notified in order to repair the traffic signal.

The Lakehurst Police and Fire Departments, and Lakehurst First Aid responded to the scene.

Officers Robert Schroeck and Grant Hofferica are investigating.
