Have You Noticed More Post-Labor Day Crowds?

My mother and I have a little late Summer/early Fall tradition here in Ocean County - we pick a weekend after Labor Day, usually mid-September, and hit the usually low key boardwalks for an ice cream waffle. But we were both pretty surprised this past weekend...

As we headed down Arnold Ave towards the boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach, the traffic, filled parking lots, and volume of pedestrians was more reminiscent of mid-July than mid-September.

Granted, it wasn't quite as bad as 4th of July weekend in Seaside Heights, but it was still a lot more crowded than I'm used to seeing this time of year.
