Going into this spring and summer, we were expecting a lot of bugs. But not the kind that I've noticed everywhere this year.

Ahead of the warm weather, experts were telling us to expect an invasion of cicadas.

But, here in Ocean County at least, the critters never materialized. At least not in the numbers that we were warned to expect.

One thing I have noticed this year though, is dragonflies. Everywhere.

I've seen dragonflies before, so it didn't seem unusual or weird at first. But then I noticed them every day and everywhere. At home, at work, on the boardwalks, in parks, etc.

They don't really bother anything. Worst case scenario is that you might get inadvertently bumped into while you're out and about, but they're not really pests.

Have you noticed an abundance of dragonflies this spring and summer?
