I knew of the existence of the Silver Ball Museum in Asbury Park, and I've loved pinball since I was a kid, but I'd just never thought to go until recently. I'm disappointed that I waited.

The Silver Ball Museum is, in a word, awesome. Right on the boardwalk in Asbury Park, It's great for kids and kids at heart. All of the machines, from the 1930s all the way up to brand new machines, are free to play. You pay a flat price when you enter and play as much pinball as you like.

Since I'd never been before, I paid for an hour, and I can tell you this right away - an hour is not enough. I was having so much fun that the next time I looked at my watch, 50 minutes had already passed.

The Silver Ball Museum also does charity fundraisers. I'm hoping to partner with them to raise some money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Of course I'll keep those details updated as they develop.

If you're looking for something to do with the family this weekend, be sure to stop by on Saturday evening, when Townsquare Media's very own Big Joe Henry will be there broadcasting live!

If you haven't been to the Silver Ball Museum before, it's one of those great local attractions that's definitely worth checking out!
