Hats And Sunscreen: Not Just For Summer In Ocean County
The weather yesterday felt really summer-like so you may have put on sunscreen before you went out. Even though it’s only April, we are wise to protect our skin from the sun. Sunscreen is not just for beach days. It’s important when going outside to garden, or picnic, or anything that will have you outdoors for a while.
I was reminded of this over the weekend. After doing some yard cleanup, I noticed my cheeks and nose were red and so was the back of my neck!
Another thing I was reminded of was how helpful hats with brims can be. Not only will it help keep your face from burning, but it will also prevent squinting. If you’re bald, you won’t get a sunburned head. And many believe a hat will actually make you feel cooler on a hot day.
Thankfully there are many different styles so you can find one that suits you best. What’s your favorite type of hat? Cowboy, baseball, straw, floppy? Or just a sun visor? Please let us know in the comments section.
