With today's technology, there's a new trend that's happening to some people that could end up being embarrassing. I'm talking about sleep texting.

Some people sleep walk, sleep talk, even sleep eat, but having a cell phone next to the bed has made it easier to say things to distant friends that you don't remember the next day.

While this article is titled, "Sleep Texting Is Now a Thing Among Teenagers", I can tell you from personal experience that it doesn't just happen to teenagers.

I have been a victim, myself...well, actually a perpetrator.

Sometimes it's gibberish, sometimes it's something that I wouldn't necessarily say when fully aware, and other times it just doesn't make any sense at all.

Here's my favorite example of something that I actually texted to an acquaintance in the middle of the night. I didn't realize until I saw my messages the next morning:

Don't ask, I really have no idea where that came from or what it's supposed to mean (clearly my friend didn't either).

Have you been on the sending or receiving end of a "sleep text"? Tell us about it in the comments section!
