Townsquare Media

It was nearly half a century ago, March 1, 1968, that 92.7 WOBM became the first commercial radio station in Ocean County, going on the air during a March snowstorm in our former studios on Route 9 in Bayville. Today, we celebrate our 49th Anniversary and we are proud to still be Ocean County's home for local radio!

One face and voice, who has been here from the very beginning, is Bob Levy! Bob has been here from day one in 1968!  Whether you have agreed or disagreed with Bob over the years on "Topic A" one thing we can all agree on is that 92.7 WOBM is your "Hometown Station". You can still listen to Bob every Sunday morning from 7-11AM. Other personalities that have been here for decades and are still going strong are Kevin Williams, nearly 4 decades, and George W. Foreman, who has been hosting weekends here at WOBM for several decades! Plus, you can still enjoy our current full-time line-up of Lisa Leonard in middays, afternoon drive with Justin Louis, evenings with Brian Moore and overnights with Mark Anthony and Zach Collins! On the weekends, it's George W. Foreman, Dan Alexander, Bradley James and "Sunny"!

I've been honored to be hosting the WOBM "Morning Show" for 21 years now, the longest run for a "Morning Man" in WOBM history and I'm honored to have been doing so for over two decades now! I began my career in radio in 1984 and came to WOBM in 1996 with my then partner Lisa Leonard. Following Lisa, I was teamed up with Jen Ursillo and now my current partner, Sue Moll, who I have had fun with for 15 years now! This has been the best career I could have ever asked for and I hope this ride with you listeners is long from over! Happy Birthday WOBM, Ocean County's FIRST radio station and truly your "Hometown Station".

Here's to many, many more!

Take a moment to share your WOBM memories!
