Halloween’s A Howl at the Toms River Animal Facility
Tuesday at the Toms River Animal Facility, celebrate Halloween with some fur-bearing friends during the first "Howling" Halloween Festival and Fundraiser.
The event takes place from 2 until 4 PM, October 28, in new facility at 235 Oak Avenue, directly adjacent to police headquarters.
It's timely, too, since October is National "Adopt A Shelter Dog" Month. There is a great variety of dogs and cats ready to become part of caring families.
Also on hand will be a supply of baked goods, for sale to support the township's spay-and-neuter program and medical care for animals housed in the shelter.
It's sponsored by the Facility and by Toms River Youth Services, who will have volunteers at the event along with members of the Toms River High School North PAWS group.
Can't join the fun? It's open Tuesdays through Sundays, 1 to 4 PM, and Wednesdays 1 until 7 PM. The facility can be reached at 732-341-1000, extension 7300.
