Gunfire fells Bayville man in South Toms River

The Monday-night shooting that left a Bayville man dead undergoes an intensive probe by the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.

Not many details have yet surfaced regarding the death of Willie Z Love III, 27, at Community Medical Center in Toms River at about 11:27 PM. It has not been characterized as a homicide.

According to information from Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato's office, the incident is believed to have taken place in South Toms River. There is, so far, no indication of the section of town in which it took place, the type and caliber of weapon, or whtether any witnesses are being sought or currently interviewed.

Circumstances are being examined by police from that jurisdiction, along with Toms River police and county investigators.
