Grateful For Steve Jobs

I've never been so grateful for the late Steve Jobs in my life!

You see, I was assigned to cover a news story Tuesday at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center. I'm a pretty responsible news reporter, trained at the Rutgers School of Journalism and Library Science to always carry backup batteries with me. Not rocket science I know.

However, when I arrived at the press conference and set up my cassette deck recorder, I discovered that not only were the batteries in the cassette deck dead but the spare batteries were dead too. It was awful!

Luckily, my boss, News Bureau Chief Tom Mongelli, just days ago handed me an IPhone4 to use so that I can take photos and videos when on assignment and boy am I grateful.

Not only was I able to take pictures but I was able to record sound for a package going to the entire Townsquare News Network. Whew! Saved by Jobs!
