Girls Helping Out the Shore with “Do It Duo for Pets”
Meet two fantastic girls from helping out with our four legged friends in this time of need after Super Storm Sandy. I'm so proud of them. They are just awesome! Alex and Lucy ---They need your help! So I said, "Our listeners are the BEST and they will help out as much as they can"!
Do It Duo was inspired to help our friends who are often times forgotten during disaster recovery. Although there are many shelters and organizations who go and save the pets, they are still in need of basic food and supplies. The Do It Duo believes no pet should be forgotten. Big or small - THEY Help Them All.

The Do It Duo, Alex and Lucy, will be collecting various pet items. They will be delivering the supplies to the various drop off areas along the Jersey Shore in hopes that families can rest easy as their pets are taken care of so they can rebuild their homes and their lives.So far the Do It Duo has distributed the following:$2100 donation that will be used toward the Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary.
$500 donation to the NJ SPCA
$400 in PetSmart giftcards donated to Catholic Charities Disaster Relief Program
1,150 lbs of dry dog food
250 lbs of dry cat food
412 cans of wet dog food
1,183 cans of wet cat food
440 lbs of cat litter
121 boxes of cat and dog treats
20 collars/leashes
70 dog jackets/sweaters
20 blankets
60 pet toys
8 dog/cat beds
5 crates
other items-- disinfectant, bleach, towels and blankets, puppy/kitten formula, litter boxes, food for small animals and birds, brushes, bowls, paper towels and many other assorted donations!
