The official celebrations have ended for the New York Giants, who grabbed their fourth Super Bowl title this past Sunday in Indianapolis. Now the bar is set quite high for next season, according to Big Blue fans.

A repeat championship has been accomplished just eight times in 46 years, but Giants fans agree their favorite team can beat any odds.

“It’s going to carry over. They’re just going to win another Super Bowl next year. I guarantee it,” said a fan from North Brunswick, before the Tuesday’s MetLife Stadium victory celebration.

A fan from Totowa added, “Eli (Manning) is the man. He’ll bring them to a championship at least one more time. Next year, it might be a two-peat. Maybe even a three-peat.”

If the three-peat prediction were to become a reality, the Giants would be playing in their home stadium for the big game in 2014. The Meadowlands has already been chosen as the location of Super Bowl XLVIII.

One thing became perfectly clear as Townsquare Media spoke to fans at MetLife – there would be no “grace period” allowed for the Giants in the season(s) ahead. Fans said they better start next season as they ended this one.

“I’ve been giving them a grace period for the last four years,” a fan from Totowa sarcastically said.
