For those adrenaline junkies that just can't get their thrill rides to be thrilling enough, Six Flags Great Adventure is doubling down this season and is throwing everything at making Drop of Doom the most terrifying thrill ride definitely in New Jersey, probably on the East Coast, and very possibly in the country!

We told you a couple of weeks ago about the concept - riders on the park's signature thriller, Zumanjaro: Drop of Doom will strap on Samsung virtual reality headsets to add a new, high tech, and even more terrifying aspect to the experience.

As if being hoisted over 40 stories above the Jackson wilderness and released to free-fall to the ground isn't heart pounding enough, the folks who I can only describe as seeming like they just left their previous lives as game makers in the Hunger Games, decided that making it so that you can't see your surroundings, and adding spiders to the mix would be a great idea.

Oh, and did I mention that with the virtual reality technology, it'll make the 41-story climb feel more like 100?

So, what can you expect from Drop of Doom VR?

That's an excellent question! And, lucky for us, Great Adventure put together this jolly little video to show us:

Ready to ride for yourself? Tomorrow is the day, the first thrill seekers will board Drop of Doom VR on May 5th.

I'll be the guy happily watching from ground level!
