FREEHOLD - A former Mater Dei High School English teacher faces five years in state prison and parole supervision for life after confessing to having sex with a 16-year-old female student. 29-year-old William Miltner of Middletown will also have to forfeit his teaching license after pleading guilty yesterday to sexual assault. Miltner is free on $125,000. His sentencing date is scheduled for April 20th.

MANCHESTER - A Georgia man faces weapons possession charges after a roadside stop in Manchester. Police tell WOBM News the officer who stopped 25-year-old Timothy Maulbeck Tuesday for a defective taillight found a loaded nine-millimeter semi-automatic handgun in the center console, a loaded magazine for it in the truck and a 38-caliber revolver in the glove box. Maulbeck also was ticketed for the taillight and unclear license plates.
