Timothy Parrish, 28, of Freehold Borough, was arrested Thursday and placed in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in Freehold, with bail set at $1,500,000, according to information from the office of acting County Prosecutor Chris Grammiccioni.

Parrish faces two first-degree attempted murder counts and two second-degree weapons charges. The latter two are punishable by up to 10 years in prison on conviction.

The victims, both from Howell Township, survived after shots rang out at about 1:58 AM near the Metropolitan Cafe, and were treated an area hospital, investigators said.

If convicted of attempted murder, Parrish would also be required to serve at least 85 percent of his sentence before parole eligibility, under New Jersey's "No Early Release Act." Conviction on the weapons counts would mean serving 42 months or more before parole eligibility, under terms of the Graves Act.
