A Freehold Attorney heads to prison for four years for misappropriating more than $237,000 dollars from a client. The sentence follows 48-year-old Deirdre Przygoda's guilty plea in November to second degree misapplication of entrusted property.

Przygoda was given the money by a client she represented to pay off the client's original mortgage in a mortgage refinance case. However, Przygoda failed to pay the mortgage off, leaving the homeowner with two mortgages and her home in foreclosure. The Monmouth County Prosecutors Office says an examination of Przygoda's accounts revealed the funds were ultimately removed from the account by Przygoda.

The sentence calls for restitution in the amount of $237,444 to the victim.
